Wildlife Biologist
WI DNR
Jenna serves as a Wildlife Biologist with the Wisconsin DNR, where she focuses on game and habitat management. Her path in conservation has been shaped by a wide range of hands-on experiences—from her early days hunting to her time as a DNR technician in a fish hatchery, pheasant farm, and CWD sampling lab. She has managed different ecosystems across the state and previously served as the assistant furbearer specialist, supporting Wisconsin’s statewide trapper education program.
The outdoors has always been a place of personal growth. What started as a young love for waterfowl hunting has grown into a deep appreciation for other forms of sustainable harvest; especially trapping and upland bird hunting. These experiences have instilled a respect for the land and a desire to help others find their own connection to it. Jenna enjoys bridging the gap between professional management and the sporting community. She finds fulfillment in hosting and participating in "Learn to Hunt," "Hunt for Food," and "Trap for Food" initiatives, where she shares the technical and ethical side of the harvest with others. She is a creator and coordinator of unique 'for-women, by-women' initiatives such as the nation's first WI Women’s Trap Camp and local women’s trap shooting league and is an instructor for the Wisconsin Waterfowl Academy. As an active member of several conservation groups, Jenna’s goal remains simple: to serve as a mentor and help the next generation get started on the right foot.
